JCI South Africa Foundation

The sustainability wing of JCI South Africa, making sure that the funds entrusted to us are raised, kept and used responsibly, year after year.

What the Foundation is

Building a JCI South Africa that lasts

Every year a new National Board takes office. The Foundation gives each board a stable base to build on, so that JCI South Africa’s work doesn’t start from zero with every new term.

The JCI South Africa Foundation is a sustainable wing of the organisation. It ensures that funds are collected and then used, year on year, in a responsible manner by the sitting National Board, in service of JCI South Africa’s mission to develop young leaders.

Sustainability

Keeps JCI South Africa financially sustainable beyond any single year or board.

Responsible use

Funds are used year on year, responsibly, by the sitting National Board.

Continuity

Each board inherits a stronger organisation and hands it on, stronger again.

How the Foundation is funded

Where the funds come from

The Foundation’s funds come largely from two sources.

01

International events hosted by JCI South Africa

Proceeds from the international JCI events that JCI South Africa hosts, such as the JCI Africa and the Middle East Conference, which South Africa hosted in 1996, 2007, 2016 and 2025.

02

Contributions from donors, both JCI members and supporters outside the organisation who believe in developing South Africa’s young leaders.
